I have the original bill of sale that was purchased in South Dakota. The El Camino came with a 327/375 engine special ordered. I am the third owner and the gentle that sold to me purchased the El Camino from the same dealer after 6 months being traded in. He used the El Camino to pull his race car to the track. He took out the 327 and 4 speed to in a larger engine the second season. He saved everything. The motor and all accessory are matching for a 65 along with the transmission. I have been restoring everything piece by piece. I have the original L79 chrome Air cleaner. I have the El camino's original bed cover.
The blue exterior with a fawn bench seat El Camino was found in an old horse barn in South Dakota. This is an ongoing project that I hope to complete this summer of 2018. Frame complete restored waiting for the drive train to be installed. I have the original 1965 bias white wall tires that where stock.
